James Sheehan and John Sheehan, from the Askeaton district, were charged yesterday at Limerick Circuit Court with the larcency ot a bullock, the property ot Patrick Hough, Askeaton, on the 10th September last. James Sheehan pleaded guilty, and the other accused, who pleaded not guilty, was defended by Mr. T. O’Donnell (instructed by Mr. M. C. Burke, solr.). The evidence was that the bullock was sold at Rathkeale fair and the money divided between tho accused. Both went into the witness box and incriminated each other. The jury found John Sheehan guilty. The prisoners were further charged with larceny from Mrs. Bessie Lynch, and James Sheehan again pleaded guilty, the other pleading not guilty. Both were sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment on the first charge, the sentence to run concurrently with a like sentence imposed on James Sheehan in the second charge. His Lordship allowed the second charge against John Sheehan to stand over.
